Membership at Eagle
Harvest
How do I become a member of Eagle Harvest?
We have a variety of ways you can become a member at Eagle Harvest
Ministries.
By Profession of Faith and Believer's Baptism and Completion of
Eagle 101. This is for new Christians who have asked Jesus Christ
to be Lord and Savior of their lives. You have professed your faith
in Christ and want to be baptized.
By Transfer of Church Membership and Completion of Eagle 101. If
you are a believer in Jesus Christ and a member of another Church,
then you can join by transferring your membership from your current
church to ours. We will send for your church letter and notify your
church that you have united with EHM.
By Statement of Faith and Completion of Eagle 101. If you have
asked Christ to be your Lord and Savior, and have been baptized
by immersion, you can join by your own Statement of Faith after
talking to our Pastor.
What is Eagle 101?
Our "Eagle 101" class is designed to inform those coming
into our church about who we are, what we believe and where we are
going. The class also teaches you about the structure of Eagle Harvest
and why we do some of the things we do. Click here for more information
on our life classes such as Eagle 101.
Who leads it?
Our pastor, Jeff Yandell, and his wife LaDonna, teach the class
together.
When does it take place?
Eagle 101 is taught the first Monday night of the month at the
church. The class begins at 6:00 p.m. and goes until 9:00 p.m. Childcare
is not available for Eagle 101.
How do I sign up?
We request that all participants call the church office anytime
at (765) 659-3689. After hours please leave a message.. Or, send
an email to Pastor
Jeff or LaDonna Yandell.
State that you are making reservations for the Eagle 101 class and
leave the names of each person you are making reservations for.
Please note; Reservations are not required to take the class. At
this time we do not provide childcare however, if you feel that
your child is old enough to understand the class they are more than
welcome to attend.
How do I start the membership process?
There's no right or wrong way, just different opportunities.
You can go forward at the "invitation" at the end of
the service when the Pastor invites those who want to make their
membership here or make a profession of faith. Let him know what
you're there for. If it's to join, he'll connect you with one of
our Counselors and you'll fill out a blue membership paper. They
will introduce you to the church and state your reason for joining.
At the close of the service, he will ask you to stand at the door
with him so people can come by and welcome you.
You may also go to the Welcome Center and request a blue membership
form, fill it out and place it in the offering plate during the
offertory or just turn it into the office. Or, you may download
the membership application form here and fill it out and turn it
in at the church office..
Another way is to join at the close of the Eagle 101 class. At the
close of Eagle 101 you are given an opportunity to read our membership
covenant and decide if you agree with our guidelines for membership.
If you are in agreement, you can simply fill out the Membership
Covenant form and sign it. We will present you to the church as
a new member at the next Sunday Morning service.
The Eagle 101 class is open to anyone wanting to know more about
our church, but is required as a part of membership here at EHM.
We want our members to be informed members.
Our desire is to help you become active in the church quickly, because
the greater the time lapse determines the effectiveness for your
opportunity for involvement.
How do I get involved with the church?
Join a LIFEGROUP. These are groups formed within the church, but
located in neighborhoods. This small group setting is where you
can interact with other members, start relationships, and grow in
your relationship with Jesus Christ. Just stop by any class. A full
listing of all of our LIFEGROUPS is available at the Welcome Center
or click here.
Get involved in Ministry. Christ has a purpose for adding each new
members to the Body of Christ, His Church. It is to glorify Him
and build up the church. Contact Pastor Joey Yandell as to the different
ministries we have available here at Eagle Harvest.
Membership Covenant
THE EAGLE HARVEST MEMBERSHIP COVENANT
“Having received Christ as my Lord and Savior and been baptized,
and being in agreement with Eagle Harvest’s statements, strategy
and structure, I now feel led by the Holy Spirit to unite with the
Eagle church family.
In doing so, I commit myself to God and to the other members to
do the following:
I. I WILL PROTECT THE UNITY OF MY CHURCH
...By acting in love toward other members
...By refusing to gossip
...By following the leaders
“So let us concentrate on the things which make for harmony,
and on the growth of our fellowship together.” Rom. 15:19
(Ph)
“Live in complete harmony with each other — each with
the attitude of Christ toward each other.” Rom 15:5 (LB)
“Have a sincere love for your fellow believers, love one
another earnestly with all your hearts.” 1 Peter 1:22 (GN)
“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of our mouths,
but only what is helpful for building others up according to their
needs...” Eph. 4:29
“Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep
watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that
their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be no advantage
to you.” Heb. 13:17
II. I WILL SHARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF MY CHURCH
...By praying for its growth
...By inviting the unchurched to attend
...By warmly welcoming those who visit
“To the church...we always thank God for you and pray for
you constantly.” 1 Thess. 1:2
“Go out into the country...and urge anyone you find to come
in, so that My House will be full.” Luke 14:23 (LB)
“So, warmly welcome each other into the church, just as Christ
has warmly welcomed you; then God will
be glorified.” Rom. 15:7 (LB)
III. I WILL SERVE THE MINISTRY OF MY CHURCH
...By discovering my gifts and talents
...By being equipped to serve by my pastors
...By developing a servant’s heart
“Serve one another with the particular gifts God has given
each of you...” 1 Peter 4:10 (Ph)
“God gave...some to be pastors and teachers to prepare God’s
people for works of ministry, so that the body of Christ may be
built up...” Eph. 4:11-12
“Each of you should look not only to your own interests,
but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the
same as that of Jesus Christ...who took on the very nature of a
servant...” Phil 2:3-4, 7
IV. I WILL SUPPORT THE TESTIMONY OF MY CHURCH
...By attending faithfully
...By living a godly life
...By giving regularly
“Let us not give up the habit of meeting together...but let
us encourage one another.” Heb. 10:25
“But whatever happens, make sure that your everyday life
is worthy of the gospel of Christ.” Phil. 1:27 (Ph)
“Each one of you, on the first day of each week, should set
aside a specific sum of money in proportion to what you have earned
and use it for the offering.” 1 Cor. 16:2
“A tenth of all you produce is the Lord’s, and it is
holy.” Lev. 27:30
